Pick Peec AI if you want to buy today at a published price: $95 a month for 50 prompts on 3 AI models, read November 2, 2026. Pick Profound if you have an enterprise budget and need up to 9 AI models and agents that draft the content. Profound sells brands only a 7-day trial or a custom contract.

We make a third tool in this market, Picked, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about the two products comes from their own pages, and we didn't buy either one for this post.

## What is each one built for?

Peec AI calls itself an AI search platform for marketing teams and SEO agencies, and its pricing page reads that way. You pick a plan, choose your models and start without talking to anyone. Starter is pitched at "SEO and content managers getting started", and every plan includes unlimited users.

Profound now describes itself as an AI marketer, and tracking is one part of what it sells. Its Enterprise plan is for "companies operationalizing AI Search insights and running marketing agents at scale". If you're a brand, there's no plan to buy from the page. You try it for a week, then you get a demo.

That difference decides most purchases before any feature comparison starts. A team of three with a monthly budget and no procurement process can only really buy one of these.

## How much do Peec AI and Profound cost?

Peec AI publishes its prices. Profound publishes a price for one thing, an agency's client workspace. To compare them fairly, divide each plan by the answers it buys: one prompt, asked once, on one AI model, is one answer.

| Plan | Price a month | Prompts | Answers a month | Per 1,000 answers |
| --- | ---: | ---: | ---: | ---: |
| Peec AI Starter | $95 | 50 | 4,500 | about $21 |
| Peec AI Pro | $245 | 150 | 13,500 | about $18 |
| Peec AI Advanced | $495 | 350 | 31,500 | about $16 |
| Peec AI Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited | |
| Profound Trial | Free for 7 days | 50 | 1,050 in all | |
| Profound Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | |
| Profound agency client workspace | $399 | 100 | 9,000 | about $44 |

Peec's answer counts are its own figures. Profound's are our sum: 100 prompts × 3 AI models × 30 days, or 50 × 3 × 7 for the trial. Peec takes 15% off for annual billing. An extra AI model on Peec costs €25, €55 or €115 a month on annual billing, by plan.

For more than these two, our [AI visibility tools pricing comparison](https://picked.so/blog/ai-visibility-tools-pricing) runs the same sum on 16 tools.

### What does it cost an agency with five clients?

This is the sum none of the comparisons we read does, and it's where the two are furthest apart. Take five clients with 100 prompts each.

Profound's Agency Growth plan charges $399 a month per client workspace, so five cost $1,995 a month before the plan's base fee. That fee wasn't shown on the page we read; HubSpot's comparison gives it as $99. Each workspace tracks a fixed three: ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. The plan has 5 agency seats and no API.

Peec sells agencies a pool of credits instead of a price per client. One prompt on one model for one day is one credit, so a prompt on 3 models costs 90 credits a month. Five clients at 100 prompts need 45,000 credits, which puts you on Scale at €675 a month, with room for 722 prompts. Essential is €205 for 111 prompts and Growth is €425 for 277. Peec showed us these agency prices in euros.

| Clients at 100 prompts each | Profound Agency Growth | Peec AI agency plan |
| ---: | ---: | ---: |
| 1 | $399 + base fee | €205 (Essential) |
| 2 | $798 + base fee | €425 (Growth) |
| 5 | $1,995 + base fee | €675 (Scale) |

The gap widens with every client because one price grows per workspace and the other per credit. Profound's workspace does include 400 agent credits a month and the drafting agents, and an agency that would otherwise pay a writer may see that sum differently.

## Which AI models does each one track?

Peec's self-serve plans run any 3 of ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Perplexity is on its list of paid extra models. Its Enterprise plan adds Claude Sonnet 4, GPT 5 Search, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and Meta Spark, and marks each of those "API".

Profound's trial runs ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise has "capability for" nine: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search.

So if your buyers use Claude, both tools put it behind an enterprise contract. Copilot or AI Mode without a contract means Peec.

It's worth asking either vendor how each answer is collected. The ChatGPT people use searches the web and has its own setup, and the raw API often doesn't. Profound says it reads answers through the front-end of each engine, and says Peec does too. Peec's "API" label on its Enterprise extras tells you those ones are different, and it's the kind of label we'd like to see on more pricing pages.

## What does each one do after the tracking?

Profound goes further here. Its Agents are reusable workflows that run on credits, and Profound's comparison says they research the pages winning a prompt, draft against your brand's facts and return a piece for your approval. Credits on the trial are limited; on Enterprise they're custom.

Peec lists gap analysis and recommended actions, ranked and grouped into earned and owned, on every plan. Its Agent has 500, 750 or 1,000 credits a month by plan, and MCP access is included on all of them, so your own agent can read the data. Peec's pricing page lists no CMS publishing. Profound's comparison says Peec "doesn't draft or publish", which is one vendor describing another, so check it in Peec's trial.

Whether drafting matters depends on who writes your pages today. With a content team and a process, ranked actions may be all you need. With neither, you still have to decide whether an agent's draft is good enough to publish under your name.

## How do their data, crawler analytics and security compare?

Demand data is the clearest technical gap. Peec gives each tracked prompt a relative score from 1 to 5. Profound's Prompt Volumes, which it says are built on more than 2 billion real user prompts from consumer panels, show what people ask, limited to 5 on the trial and custom on Enterprise. That 2 billion figure is Profound's own, and we can't check it.

Both read AI crawler visits. Peec's plans include a robots.txt audit across 40+ bots and crawl insights up to 4.5, 13.5 or 31.5 million bot visits by plan. Profound's Agent Analytics covers Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Cloud, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress, even on the trial, though Agency Growth lists only Google Analytics.

On security, SSO sits on Enterprise at both. Profound lists SOC 2 compliance on Enterprise. Peec's pricing table lists SOC 2 as included on every plan without saying which type, so ask for the report if your security team needs one.

## Who does ChatGPT recommend?

We asked ChatGPT 10 buyer questions, three times each in a fresh chat, on November 2, 2026, from the US: 30 answers. Eight of the questions name neither tool, such as "best AI visibility tool for a small marketing team". Those 24 answers are the fair test.

| Brand | Named, of 24 answers | Named first |
| --- | ---: | ---: |
| Peec AI | 24 | 9 |
| Profound | 24 | 7 |
| Otterly.AI | 20 | 4 |
| Semrush | 15 | 1 |
| Scrunch | 13 | 0 |
| AthenaHQ | 7 | 0 |
| HubSpot | 4 | 3 |
| Picked | 0 | 0 |

Picked launched in October 2026, and none of the 30 answers named it. To see whether ChatGPT names you, our [free AI visibility checker](https://picked.so/free-ai-visibility-checker) asks ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews two questions about your category and needs no account.

Being named doesn't separate these two at all. Being named first does, and it follows the same line as their pricing pages. Peec came first in 2 of 3 answers for a small marketing team and all 3 for agencies. Profound came first in all 3 answers for "best enterprise AI search visibility platform".

Asked directly, "Peec AI vs Profound: which should I choose?", all three answers gave the same split: Peec for tracking at a set price, Profound for an enterprise program with agents. Of the 64 pages those answers cited, 28 were on peec.ai or tryprofound.com. So a good part of what ChatGPT says about these two is what they say about themselves. Thirty answers on one day is a small sample, and the same questions could read differently next week.

## Which numbers should you not trust?

This market changes its prices faster than people update their pages, and AI answers repeat the old ones. Here are two from the first page of results.

Peec's own comparison page, dated January 5, 2026 and first on Google when we searched, says Profound Starter is $99 and Growth is $399. Profound's pricing page lists neither plan for brands today. The same comparison gives Peec Starter as €89, while its live price is €85.

The old number has reached the answers. One of ChatGPT's three answers for a small marketing team listed Profound at $99 a month and Peec at about €89.

HubSpot's comparison, published in the last week of October, says Peec "publishes no SOC 2 Type II or HIPAA certification". That may be right about the type. But a reader could take it to mean no SOC 2 at all, and Peec's pricing table lists SOC 2 on every plan.

If a comparison, or a chatbot, gives you a price for either tool, open the vendor's pricing page before you put it in a budget. That includes this post.

## Should you choose Peec AI or Profound?

Choose Peec AI if you're a marketing team or an agency without an enterprise contract, you want a price you can see, and you already have people who write your pages. It's also the one for tracking Copilot or AI Mode without talking to sales.

Choose Profound if you have the budget for a custom contract, need Claude, DeepSeek or Exa alongside the usual models, want demand data beyond a 1 to 5 score, and want agents to draft content for approval. Run the 7-day trial first, but know that its prompts are preset, so it shows you Profound more than it shows you your own buyers' questions.

Choose neither if you only want a first look. Asking ChatGPT yourself is free, and so is our [free AI visibility checker](https://picked.so/free-ai-visibility-checker). Otterly.AI starts at $29 a month for 15 prompts if you want something on a schedule. And if your buyers don't ask AI assistants what to buy, you don't need any of these.

Picked is the [AI visibility tool](https://picked.so/) we built for one situation neither covers on a self-serve plan: you want a public price and the article written, delivered to your repo as a pull request for you to review. It asks in US English only, where both of these track other countries. We compare it with each of them on [Peec AI alternatives](https://picked.so/vs/peec-ai) and [Profound alternatives](https://picked.so/vs/profound).

## How we checked

We read [Peec AI's pricing page](https://peec.ai/pricing), [its agency pricing](https://peec.ai/pricing-agencies), and [Profound's pricing page](https://www.tryprofound.com/pricing) for brands and agencies on November 2, 2026. Peec's plan table showed dollars and its agency page showed euros. The comparisons quoted are [Peec's](https://peec.ai/comparison/peec-vs-profound), [Profound's](https://www.tryprofound.com/articles/profound-vs-peec-ai) and [HubSpot's](https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/profound-vs-peec-ai), read the same day.

The ChatGPT answers came from the chatgpt.com interface through cloro, US, one fresh chat per run, on November 2, 2026. We counted a brand as named if its name appears anywhere in the answer's text.

We read vendor pages and didn't test either product on a paid plan, so we can't tell you how accurate either one's numbers are or how good Profound's drafts read.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Peec AI cheaper than Profound?

For brands, Peec AI is the only one with a public paid price: $95, $245 or $495 a month. Profound's Enterprise price is custom, so it can't be compared without a quote. For an agency tracking one client at 100 prompts, Peec's plan is €205 a month and Profound's client workspace is $399 plus a base fee.

### Does Profound have a free plan?

No, it has a free trial. Profound's pricing page lists 50 preset prompts, run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited AI Marketer credits and no exports, history or API. After the week, brands move to a custom Enterprise contract. Profound's older Starter and Growth plans aren't on the page.

### Which tracks more AI models, Peec AI or Profound?

On their top plans, Peec AI lists up to 13 and Profound up to 9, though Peec marks several of its Enterprise models as API. Below Enterprise, Peec gives you 3 you choose, with paid extras, while Profound's agency workspace is fixed to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

### Can Peec AI or Profound write content?

Profound's Agents draft content and return it for your approval, running on credits. Peec AI ranks what to do and gives you an agent that works with your data, and its pricing page lists no CMS publishing. Peec also has MCP access on every plan, so an agent you already use can read its data.

### Which is better for agencies?

On published prices, Peec AI costs less at every client count we worked out, and the gap grows as you add clients. Profound's client workspace is more expensive per answer but includes 400 agent credits a month. Choose on whether the agents replace work you'd otherwise pay for, and try each before you commit.
