Free AI visibility checker: do ChatGPT and Google recommend you?

Your buyers ask AI what to buy. Tell us what you sell and we'll ask ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews right now, then show you whether you're in the answer or your competitors are.

  • 2 buyer questions on ChatGPT and AI Overviews: 4 live answers
  • Your share of answers and your position
  • Who got named instead, and the pages the AI cited
  • ChatGPT
  • Claude
  • Gemini
  • Perplexity
  • Google AI Overviews
  • Google AI Mode

Picked tracks six AI models, five of them daily and Claude less often. The free check asks two of them, once.

How it works

What happens when you press check

  1. 1We ask the AI models

We take two questions a buyer would ask about your category and put them to ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews, live, from the US.

  2. 2We read the answers

For each answer we check if it names you, in what place, and who comes before you.

  3. 3You get the receipts

How many answers name you, who they name instead, and which pages the AI read to answer.

These are real answers for LaunchOnIt, a launch platform, from September 27 and 28, 2026. The last card counts both days on four AI models.

After the check

Not in the answer? Where to start

The check tells you who the AI models name instead of you. These are the four things to do next, in the order we'd do them.

  1. 01

    Read the pages it cited

An answer is built from the pages the model read. If it cites a roundup, a directory or a review site and you're not on it, ask to be added. That is often quicker than writing a page of your own.

  2. 02

    Let the right crawlers in

ChatGPT's search answers come from pages OpenAI's OAI-SearchBot has read, so check that robots.txt and your CDN's bot rules don't block it. AI Overviews come from Google's own index: if Google can index the page, it can be cited.

    What ChatGPT reads
  3. 03

Write the page the answer needs

Pick the question you lost and write the page that answers it better than the ones cited: the answer in the first sentence, a table for comparisons, prices with the month you checked them.

  4. 04

    Ask again tomorrow

The same question can get a different list tomorrow, so one check is a snapshot. The trend only shows when the same prompts are asked every day and counted.

Questions

About the free check

What it asks, how the score works, and why it won't match your own ChatGPT tab exactly.

It asks AI assistants the questions your buyers ask, like "what's the best CRM for a small business?", and checks if your brand comes up in the answer. Think of a rank checker, but for ChatGPT and Google's AI answers instead of the blue links. You'll also hear it called an AI search visibility checker, an LLM visibility checker, an AEO checker or a GEO audit.

We ask two questions about your category, each on ChatGPT and in Google's AI Overviews. That's up to four answers. Google doesn't show an AI Overview for every search, and those searches don't count. Your score is how many of the answers name you. Position is where you come in the list of brands an answer gives.

Because answers change. Ask the same question twice and you can get two different lists. Your own ChatGPT also knows your history and where you are. We ask from the US, without any of that. So one check is a snapshot. The trend only shows when you ask every day.

No. Some checkers read your site and score how ready it looks to AI: schema, headings, a robots.txt. This one skips your site and asks the AI models themselves, then reports what they said. A site can look ready and still not be named, which is the part that costs you deals.

Every check costs us money in AI model calls, so we keep it for real companies. We send your result to it. Tips on getting picked by AI come only if you tick the box.

One site a day per company and per network. You can run it twice, in case you want to fix the category. If you want more prompts, every day, on more AI models, that's what Picked is for.

It asks your own prompts every day on the AI models you pick. You see how often you're named, your position over time, and which pages the AI cites. On Growth and Scale it also writes the article that goes after the answers you lose.
